I'm seriously obsessed with my tiny collection of romantic postcards from the 1920s.The most fascinating thing about them is the faded writing on the back, some you can read and make out the words, some the ink is totally faded and all that's left is the stamp. Call me sentimental but I love that they were kept for years and then found their way into a shop where they were bought by me super romance geek here.I wonder if they were looked at often or put away in the back of a drawer.I wonder if the people who wrote them ended up together. There is something so lovely about them.Dare I say a little magical?
I'm not the only one who feels this way, there are tonnes of books and films about love letters of historical couples and normal couples during war time. I love that the letters survived so long, longer than the people who wrote them....they didn't even have i-cloud to back that stuff up!
So why the slightly whimsical ramblings? I'm thinking about lovely love letters this week as my "Vintage Sweetheart" tattoo pillowcases are now awaiting print. What????? Well it's another way for people to send their love on a pillowcase. This one though is for the sweethearts and the romancers out there, plus you don't have to have kids to join in. There will be more info coming soon. When was the last time you wrote a love letter?
